Welcome to

Mike's Home Page

Welcome to my little spot on the World Wide Web, I hope you enjoy your visit. Building a web page is a new yet rewarding experience but bare with me, I am still in the learning process. Hopefully I will be able to add more, so feel free to come back. If you don’t like the page, well, first kiss my ass then blame Angy because she helped me on it (Angy, just joking doll).

A Little Bit About Me

I have dreamed of being an Architect for as long as I can remember. Someone told me once that people would pay me to draw and color...and as an impetuous boy, that was all I needed. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, School of Architecture, in 1991 and was able to do some post-graduate studying in Spain. From there I took a slight detour but in 1996 I finally achieved what I always dreamed of, owning a design company which is called Baska, Metella and Nate Architectural Designs Limited. I am a partner with two fellow architect colleagues and we have been basking in success for over two years now. I was born and raised in Texas on strong family values and Italian pride.

Interest

All work and no play tends to make me more than stressed. Living so close to the Gulf of Mexico I have been able to take the time to do what I enjoy which is fishing and hunting. I own a small fishing boat that is so old its only being held together by a prayer, thus aptly named the Sinking Angel. The largest fish I caught was a 15.2 pound flounder, and to this day I still can not believe that we ate it instead of mounting it. Being in Spain for over two years, I got into soccer. Even though it's not a big sport here in Texas, I still try to play and follow the games on TV as much as I can.

I do not have a scanner so this is the only picture I have of me available. This was taken charitable benefit with Angy (the small, gorgeous, knockout) with two other friends. I'm on the left.
